Can you do anything about quoting? Is difficult to read inline and any URLs are even harder. That pink is too bright vs the rest of the post / thread. I'd keep the text the same colour and go some other background that is dark.

Also, weirdos like germs is red highlight, yellow text underlining her posts - what's up with that? Kids.  Undecided

Oh hmmmm not sure if it's possible, but alternating row colours (more for topic list screens but also potentially thread list screens) would help delineate them. On the 22" wide screen it's sometimes  a stretch to match topic name with last author / post, for example.

phpBB does this but not sure how difficult to do it with SMF.

I'll mess with it - if things look strange, that's why.

Thanks.

Black text...on a dark background?

Darkened the background of the quote box.  See if that helps.  Light text on a dark background was also too difficult to differentiate.

Oops :-) I meant keep it the same colour as the normal posts - ie white - with a dark - ie nearly black - background.

Do you have css control of the quoted sections? Coz something like this could also work:

Code:
.quote {
background-color:#D18A8A;
border-left:4px solid gray;
color:white;
font-size:x-small;
line-height:1.4em;
margin-left:15px;
}

.quoteheader {
border-left:4px solid gray;
color:#000000;
font-size:x-small;
font-style:normal;
font-weight:bold;
line-height:1.2em;
margin-left:15px;
padding:1px;
}

Just an idea.

I understand what you're saying, but the example appears to be very close to what it is now.

Ugh something went wrong with my post :-/

You know what? Forums are easier to use than boards in AA but still a PITA - you've honestly done a good job so I'll just leave it there for now :-)

It definitely takes getting used to different software.  I think I'm doing ok because I'm not trying to use anything other than the most basic of features.

Hey.  I'm using SMF for our clansite forums and I'm having trouble doing the theme.  Could you help? As in some instructions or guidance?

Absolutely.  Here's a good place to start: http://www.smfhacks.com/smf-theme-generator.html
