As told to me by an imm

"You have to multi-class"

Okay, sure, since it's too ****ing hard to grant a boon to people who don't because "it's impossible to not multi-class"

Sure, ***ing whatever.

prac dodge

You need to know 'trip' to learn that.

Excuse the **** out of me?
What the actual **** do these two skills DODGE and TRIP have to do with eachother?

Not
A
****ing
Thing

What kind of ****ing retarded head-up-*** ****-in-mouth ****face tells me
WELL U GOTS TA NO HOW 2 TRIP BEFUR U CIN DOJE

There is NO ****ing correlation between DODGING and TRIPPING

The only ****ing reason **** like this exists is because some retarded jackass thinks that making people waste time on useless skills
That is to say padding the gameplay with ****
In order to get the useful skills makes the game better

There is a time and a place for practice/learning order

Learning SECOND ATTACK before THIRD ATTACK

Trip before dodge?
This is not one of those times nor places.

Araurt,

Alter Aeon is a multiclass mud.  It was designed multiclass from day one, and everything is centered around the multiclass aspect.  It is possible to strictly single class, but it is time consuming, inefficient, unpleasant, and will result in a very weak character.  This is intentional.  If you're looking for a single class game, perhaps AA isn't the game for you.

Alter Aeon is a custom game, with custom rules, setup, and unique mechanics.  As with anything else, if you expect AA to be something that it's not, you'll be disappointed.

On the other hand, if you're willing to understand and learn the system, maybe you'd discover that getting all those other class levels doesn't mean you have to get the class skills - it just means that you get extra hitpoints and practices that you can spend in any class you like.
